We’re expanding our service to Geraldton!

From Saturday 8th August, Dial A Doctor will be available in Geraldton to provide bulk billed after-hours care in your home.

Who is Dial A Doctor?

Dial A Doctor is a fully accredited home visit service that has been established since 2010 and we currently operate in Perth, Cairns and the Atherton Tablelands in FNQ.

Our service is at the forefront of after-hours care in Australia, providing safe, reliable, high-quality medical services to those in need. With 80% of General Practices choosing to deputise their after-hour care to a third party, we believe Geraldton we benefit hugely from our team of doctors ready to visit you in your own house.

Why are you expanding to Geraldton?

Dial A Doctor believes there is a lack of afterhours care in Geraldton and after meeting with several clinics in Geraldton at the end of 2019, they supported the need for additional afterhours health care.

As Dial A Doctor has been operating in Perth since 2012, we have received many requests over the years to expand our service to this area and we are now in a position to do this.

To ensure continuity of your health care, all our notes are sent through to your regular GP within 24 hours of being seen by our service. If you do not have a regular GP, we will let you know of our partnered clinics nearby to you.

Which areas will you service?

We will cover from Drummond Cove down to Cape Burney.

Are you a replacement for my GP?

No, absolutely not. Dial A Doctor believes the best primary health care is provided by your regular GP, as they have a long relationship with their patients and a strong knowledge of their medical history. However, we also know that sickness doesn’t fall into the 9-5 category and sometimes ED is not the most appropriate treatment for when you or your family members are unwell when your GP is closed.

How do I get an appointment with you?

To ensure that you are appropriately triaged, you can make a booking with our Contact Centre on 1300 030 030. We are only able to take bookings and operate in the Medicare defined afterhours period.

Dial-A-Doctor aims to see all of our patients within 3 hours of booking, and our teams will keep you updated via text or phone call as to their expected arrival. This means you can remain in the comfort of your own home knowing that quality healthcare is on its way.

Due to the nature of our service, we receive calls for patients from all walks of life and with a range of medical needs. Whether it be a young family with gastro, an elderly patient with the flu in an Aged Care Facility or a tourist with a skin rash staying in their hotel, our doctors are prepared and experienced to treat your clinical needs as well as providing excellent bedside manner to ensure that you feel comfortable and confident with our service.

How much do you charge?

Dial A Doctor believes that healthcare should be accessible to everyone, and therefore, we are 100% bulk billed and do not charge a gap fee for our service. Dial-A-Doctor is committed to remaining a fully bulkbilled service for patients with Medicare/DVA cards and OSHC policy holders.
